The survey was conducted on a total of 1004 small and micro businesses on the territory of the city of Skopje, with a focus on the Manufacturing industry. Concerning the proposed energy efficiency measures, and with the goal of reducing air pollution in the City of Skopje, the emphasis is on three types of measures: measures aimed at the building and its elements (external shell), measures aimed at the heating system, cooling, and ventilation, and measures aimed at the manufacturing process.
Based on the survey results, it is clear that companies can have a positive impact on the environment by implementing the proposed measures. Measures related to heating methods and renewable energy sources have the greatest positive impact, whereas changes in the manufacturing process have the greatest impact on the subgroup of companies that also have production facilities, as the most dominant consumer of energy.
